If there’s one thing danes like, then it would be a good ol’ bikeride. And I can say with an open heart that I couldn’t live without getting around town, and beyond for that matter, on mine. My friend just passed me the info on Others newest project; a biketour from Lisbon through Europe ending in Copenhagen this summer. Along the way him and his partner in crime, Eric Burke, are gonna hit walls and have fun, I’d reckon. Sounds like a killer trip to me. To raise funds for the trip, he’s selling artwork on his Flickr and getting pledges on this site here. Go support independent artists (everywhere)!

I’ve been kind of sleeping on this one, but better late than never, right? If you’ve been to Copenhagen or around here, you’ve might stumbled upon a subculture magazine with the inviting, yet disturbing, name Bitchslap. It’s founded and made by two great kiwis, working under the monikers Dick and Nanny. Rooted in the streets of CPH (even though Nanny migrated to Barcelona), they report about all things good in the arts, sports, fashion department and beyond. After 10 issues, they’re still going strong (and it’s still for free!) and issue 11 is in the making. So go support and take a peep at their website where you can see most of the backissues online (they have a feature on yours truly in #4) and a lot of other good stuff. Among other things there’s a good interview with Thomas Campbell right here. And check all the rest right here.
Have a good one. SLNC

Okay, so this is where we’re at right now. I recently moved into a new studio and in the middle making a bunch of new work (more on that later). For now I just wanted show a few inspirational shots, nicked from the good ol’ web. This small selection is mainly focused on other artwork, from people like Orteiza, Sonne, Richter, Os Gemeos, Messenger and a few others. Enjoy!

So, these days I’m preparing for a little show I have coming up. It’ll be a good mix of paintings, prints and even a few photos. The reception is next sunday the 20. of september from 14-16 hrs, which is a nice break in the sunday hangover rutine, since there’ll be some antipasti to munch on and some drinks to refuel the buzz from the night before. It’s the first real show in over a year for me (due to my almost celibacy from artmaking), so I’m pretty psyched and a little nervous, but definitely looking forward to it. A lot of thanks to MHM and the people of Bottega for having me. If you’re around these parts, then drop by and have some antipasti and a look-see. Maybe I’ll even upload a few photos of the works or whatever later on. See a bit more about Bottega and the artists who have shown there here
All the best – peace

A treehouse for the modern age. Great in its complex simplicity. I love it! More here. Peace!
